2025 Conference Report

2025 Conference Testimonials

I feel grateful and infinitely lucky to have been able to attend and present at your inaugural Outdoor Learning Leadership Conference. It was an energizing, galvanizing experience and I feel like we are at a tipping point for positive action on land- based programming in this country. We need more opportunities for Indigenous knowledge keepers, leaders, researchers, educators, and administrators to connect, form networks, and authentic relationships to make change happen! Thank you for being catalysts for change!

The Take Me Outside Leadership Learning Conference walked the walk! Too often conferences are designed to talk about 'the things' we do but don't allow participants to be immersed in the feeling of a particular pedagogy or philosophy. This FELT different - a community, a coming together of old (new) friends - wherein speakers, authors, researchers, organisers and registrants were all geeking out with one another, blurring the lines between of roles and backgrounds to engage in sharing and learning about outdoor educational practice. This one was a 'bucket-filler'!

Perhaps the best conference I have attended in my career as an educator of 30+yrs. Engaging, relaxing and practical strategies to share with my staff. Highly recommend the conference for all leaders.

Attending as a Leadership Team

We have introduced a Team Registration option to encourage districts, organizations, and partners to attend the conference as a cohesive group rather than as individual participants. Because this gathering is focused on systems-level change, we want to support teams of leaders who can learn together, reflect together, and bring shared insights back to their school systems.

Teams of 3–5 participants receive a 15% registration discount (saving up to $450 per team).

We encourage school systems and partner organizations to attend as Leadership Teams whenever possible. Partner organizations are also welcome to attend with senior school system leaders they collaborate with (such as superintendents, senior administrators, or system-level staff). Bringing a small team helps ensure that the ideas and conversations at the conference translate into real momentum and implementation within school systems.
