The organization’s primary mission is to drive education system change in Alberta and to integrate environmental education for K-12 students throughout the province. ACEE also offers a variety of other programs and services to support educators, students, and community partners.
ACEE has a small team of employees who operate remotely and rely on a high level of engagement with educators, students, and other community partners to successfully influence/implement systems change and deliver programming across Alberta.
Key Resources
ACEE offers a variety of outdoor learning workshops throughout the year. Outdoor learning is also integrated into the curriculum, training, and programming offered for educators and students.
ACEE will be scaling up our EcoSchools program to reach more classrooms. We have a new resource website in the works. And we will have a new strategic plan including a focus on outdoor learning, Indigenous perspectives, and climate justice.
