Day 154 – 39.7 km (total – 3254.2 km)

Farmland between Barrie and Orillia.

Farmland between Barrie and Orillia.

It’s  hard to believe we’ve been in Ontario for over 6 weeks now.  We have  visited 36 schools in that time and have really enjoyed the interactions  we’ve had with students!  With the end of the school year upon us, the  focus is back on running and trying to cover some good distance over the  next couple of months.  We hope to find speaking opportunities along  the way, including some camps and provincial parks.  If you live between  Hunstville and Thunder Bay, please let us know if you think there might  be an opportunity in your neck of the woods.

A little busier atmosphere on H11!

Because the focus has been on school visits over the last month and a half, my legs aren’t terribly happy with me… today was difficult!  So it will likely take some time to get readjusted to running the marathon distance consistently again.  I have been looking forward to this stretch for a long time.  I have driven along Superior many times and am excited to take it in at a different pace!  There are several parks that are absolutely stunning along this route with many lakes to grab a quick dip in.

To all my friends who I have seen in Ontario, thank you.

I am ready to continue on across the country, but my time with you means so much.

I am grateful for all of my friendships and am thankful that we share a common goal – loving the outdoors and encouraging others to share in the beauty and wonder of this country that we are so fortunate to experience.
