Erin joined me for the last few kilometres! Sean and Heather came out to support as well…. thank you!

This morning started with a great visit to St. Francis School in Smiths Falls!  The energy of the students was great… and Sarah and I may have met our new favourite VP – Brent!  Amazing enthusiasm and a sharp tongue that left us in stitches!

I started running late morning from where I had left of on Sunday and got in a solid 46 k.  My friend Erin joined drove up form Kingston with her boyfriend Sean and her sister Heather.  She joined me for the last couple of kilometers which was great as I was struggling to finish!  After a quick walk of the dogs, we joined them as well as a couple of other friends, Leigh and Christine, at the Country Inn in Sharbot Lake for a lovely meal!  So thankful for friends like these who are willing to drive out of their way to fit in a visit – much appreciated!

Who doesn’t love cows?!

Today marked 4 months since we started the TMO Project on Signal Hill in NL.  We have visited 34 schools and chatted with more than 14,000 students.  And run 2800 kilometres!  Heather asked me tonight at dinner how I felt about it all.  And it’s tough to give a good answer when you’re in the middle of it… we all have things we’re passionate about and it’s pretty neat to see people live out those passions.  Although there are moments where it feels like it’s been a long 4 months and exhaustion sets in, I still feel a strong passion for what we’re doing and the message that we are taking into schools.  It feels pretty special to have strong convictions and to be able to live those convictions out on a daily basis.  The road ahead is still long, but right now we celebrate a challenging, but rewarding 4 months!
