Conference 2023

For the first time: A National Conference on Outdoor Learning!

SAVE THE DATE 🗓️ May 4-6th, 2023

Join us in beautiful Banff, Alberta for the chance to connect with experts in the field, colleagues, and community partners through workshops, panels, and keynote speakers.

The conference will focus on three main topics:

  • Climate change and environmental education
  • Indigenous knowledge & perspectives
  • Health and well-being

The Banff Centre, where the conference will take place, is situated on Treaty 7 territory, the traditional lands of the Iyârhe Nakoda (Stoney Nakoda) Nations of Wesley, Chiniki, and Bearspaw; three Nations of the Blackfoot Confederacy: the Piikani, Kainai and Siksika; and the Tsuut’ina Nation.

Treaty 7 territory is shared with the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III. Prior to the establishment of provincial boundaries, this region was also used by the Ktunaxa, Secwépemc, Mountain Cree Peechee clan, and the Dene people.
