I am aware that participation in the Saskatchewan Educator Wellness Retreat involves risks, dangers and hazards including the potential of, but not limited to:

– Injuries from physical activities
– Injuries from water-related activities such as swimming or canoeing in the lake
– Inclement weather including storms, high winds and lightning
– Contact reaction with plants such as stinging nettle
– The presence of wild animals and ticks
– Injuries resulting from interacting with fire
– Miscellaneous health problems related to over-exposure to the sun, insect bites or stings, fatigue, stress, dehydration or exertion
– Negligence on the part of other participants
– Negligence on the part of Take Me Outside or Manitou Resort and Spa and its agents, principles and employees, including the failure on the part of Take Me Outside and its agents, principals and employees to safeguard or protect participants from the risks, dangers and hazards of participating in the activities

I accept the above risks and others as part of my participation in the 2026 Saskatchewan Educator Wellness Retreat. I am aware that injuries sustained in outdoor activity can be severe and even fatal. It is my responsibility to weigh and evaluate the risks. It is my right and responsibility as a participant to immediately remove myself from participation in the program, if at any time I sense any hazard or unsafe condition. I am under no obligation to participate in all activities at the Saskatchewan Educator Wellness Retreat and may choose not to participate at any time after completing this form.

I agree to expressly waive and fully and forever release and discharge Take Me Outside and Manitou Resort and Spa, along with their affiliates, including but not limited to its directors, officers, employees, managers, representatives, partners, members, instructors, agents, representatives, volunteers, contractors, subcontractors, agents, attorneys, successors, assigns (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Releasees”) from any losses, damages, fees, actions, claims, demands, lawsuits, expenses, debts and any other liability (collectively referred to as “Claims”) of any kind caused by the errors, omissions, actions, inactions, breach of any contract, breach of any statutory or other duty of care and/or negligence of any Releasee arising directly or indirectly out of, or otherwise related to, the participant’s participation at the Saskatchewan Educator Wellness Retreat.
