Willow McGrath is currently a grade 12 student in Saint John, NB. She is extremely passionate about the environment and loves working with people. She is a camp counsellor and spends all of her time outside in the summer, while providing experiential learning to campers and more.
Willow leads the UNESCO club at her school, which has given her school a green space and helped get feminine hygiene products in every bathroom, along with many other projects last year. Willow has represented Canadian youth on matters of environmental education, human rights and the SDGs at many conferences, including the National Forum for Environmental Learning, AP Nature Ed/Black Diaspra conferences and CCUNESCO conferences. She’s also extremely grateful to have had the honour to represent the younger generation at the IUCNs World Conservation Congress this past October.
