Laura Callaghan is a fundraising and communications professional who supports Take Me Outside as a Fund Development Contractor. With more than a decade of experience, she helps nonprofits tell their stories, strengthen relationships, and build support for causes spanning mental health, humanitarian response, education, and the arts. Laura is a strong advocate for community-centric fundraising and believes empathy and storytelling are powerful tools for inspiring change.
Raised in rural Ontario, Laura grew up exploring forests and climbing trees with a book in hand. She now divides her time between Toronto and Bancroft, where she enjoys hiking, canoeing, and birdwatching. Laura also serves as Treasurer for Fair Vote Canada and is a member of the Bancroft Field Naturalists. When she’s not working, she can be found cycling, reading, or wandering local parks in search of new feathered friends.
