
Dr. Lindy Henderson is an educator and school leader who works with local Indigenous schools in Treaty 3 Territory in and around Kenora, Ontario. For over twenty years Lindy worked with youth in the public school system as a classroom teacher, forest school teacher, and Indigenous Language Lead where she integrates Indigenous teachings and ways of knowing and being in her practice. Her doctoral research focused on centring Anishinabek and Metis teachings and practices through planning and leadership, overlaying local land-based practices with provincial curriculum expectations. She is also an Instructor with the Faculty of Education and Indigenous Studies at the University of Winnipeg. Lindy Henderson is a proud citizen of the Manitoba Metis Federation and the Red River Homeland.
