Coral Bissett

Education Program Coordinator
she/her/elle

Coral grew up camping and exploring Ontario’s Provincial Parks with her family, where she developed a deep love and respect for the outdoors. She’s an Ontario Certified Teacher, Forest & Nature School Practitioner, and bilingual outdoor educator based in North Bay, Ontario. She joins Take Me Outside with over 18 years of experience creating outdoor learning programs at the Canadian Ecology Centre, where she helped children, youth, and educators build positive relationships with nature through safe, inclusive, and engaging experiences that spark curiosity, confidence, and stewardship. She’s especially passionate about mentoring teachers so more students can discover the joy of learning outside. When not working, she loves exploring wild spaces, and sharing outdoor adventures with her husband and their two adventurous daughters.

Coral is grateful to live, work, and learn on the traditional territory of the Anishinabek Nation, within the lands of the Nipissing First Nation, signatories to the Robinson Huron Treaty of 1850. The waters of Lake Nipissing and the surrounding lands hold enduring relationships of care and connection between Indigenous Peoples and this place. She seeks to honour these relationships through everyday practice rooted in respect, shared stewardship, and reciprocal connection with the land and community.
