Take Me Outside (TMO) invites school system leaders across Canada to join the Outdoor Learning Leadership Network. This new community will bring together school system leaders from across Canada who are engaged or interested in advancing outdoor learning into curriculum and teaching practices. This Community of Practice will gather seasonally and serve as a space for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the exchange of best practices to support and grow outdoor learning at a systems change level.
The Outdoor Learning Leadership Network emerged from the 2025 Leadership Conference in Banff, Alberta, where 325 school system leaders gathered to advance outdoor learning through diverse approaches, including Indigenous ways of knowing, health and wellbeing, environmental education, and literacy and math. The Network aims to foster national collaboration among school system leaders engaged in this work.
