Launched during the 2019/20 school year, the Take Me Outside Learning Challenge has grown to encompass participation in almost every province and territory across the country. The goal is simple: encourage educators to implement outdoor learning with their students once per week from September to June. Ultimately the Learning Challenge works to extend the impact of Take Me Outside Day by offering tools & resources for building a community of educators committed to taking their classroom beyond four walls and relishing in the positive impacts of outdoor learning. Below are just some of the impacts of this year’s Learning Challenge.

  • 282,007 total learner participants
  • 78.3% of participants were able to fulfill the commitment of weekly outdoor learning at least 60% of the time
  • 42.3% of those surveyed were outside with their learners weekly throughout the entire year!

Lancé au cours de l’année scolaire 2019/20, le défi d’apprentissage Take Me Outside s’est développé pour englober la participation de presque toutes les provinces et territoires du pays. L’objectif est simple : encourager les éducateurs à mettre en œuvre l’apprentissage en plein air avec leurs élèves une fois par semaine de septembre à juin. En fin de compte, le défi d’apprentissage s’est efforcé d’étendre l’impact de la journée Sortez-moi de chez moi en offrant des outils et des ressources pour construire une communauté d’éducateurs engagés à sortir leur classe de ses quatre murs et à profiter des impacts positifs de l’apprentissage en plein air. 78,3 % des participants ont pu respecter l’engagement d’un apprentissage hebdomadaire en plein air au moins 60 % du temps.

42,3 % des personnes interrogées étaient dehors avec leurs apprenants chaque semaine pendant toute l’année !
